REQUIREMENTS FOR DEGREES IN COMMISSIONER SERVICE

DOCTOR OF COMMISSIONER SERVICE
ROSS HOUSE, Dean

1. Submit an application as a candidate for Doctors Degree, indicating the following:

a. current primary registration as a member of a Commissioner Staff

b. previously earned a Masters Degree in Commissioner Science

2. Complete a project that has been pre-approved by the Dean

3. Complete 6 hours of instruction from the list below and attending the Commissioner Conference. 
Note: DCS 604 is a 3 period class.

DCS 604 - COMMISSIONER GROWTH PROJECT PRESENTATION
DCS 608 - ADVANCED COMMISSIONER LIFE SAVING 
DCS 610 - PREVENTING COMMISSIONER BURNOUT

The ScoutingBSA.org web site is a legacy site of the Viking Council BSA, now Northern Star Council.  
This site was the original council site and was active from 1996 to 2002 and run by volunteers.  As the web became more important to Scouting, the council took over with paid staff.  This site is no longer maintained but is an interesting snapshot of an early Scouting web site.    You can share your comments
